Having done advanced laparoscopic surgeries for over a decade, I was very pleased to access robotic technology in Tamworth. Robotic technology offers better control, vision and precision when compared to traditional “straight stick” laparoscopy.
The vision: Accurate visualization is particularly relevant in endometriosis surgery. High definition 3D vision, magnified view, and robotic and computer assistance, is a huge leap forward in optic technology in minimally invasive surgery.
The control: All four ports including the camera are controlled by the operating surgeon, which minimizes human error and variation, adding another layer of safety.
The access: State of the art articulated (wristed) robotic instruments allow access and safe operating even in the smallest spaces. Precision and ability to execute fine movement without impacting other vital tissues is a key feature of robotic technology.
