Gynaecologist, Dr Elizabeth Varughese operates at Tamara Private Hospital and Armidale Private hospital.

Dr Elizabeth, as she is fondly referred to by her patients, received her basic medical qualifications in India and she then went on to complete her specialist training in Australia. She holds dual fellowships of both British College of Obstetrics and Gynecologists (RCOG ) and the Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (RANZCOG).

Dr Elizabeth is a Laparoscopic and Robotic surgeon who delivers high quality and complex gynaecological surgeries to Tamworth. Her areas of expertise include, Endometriosis, Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS) for large fibroid uterus and benign pelvic masses as well as a range of Uro-gynaecology services.

Having worked in Tamworth for more than 12 years, Dr Elizabeth understands the needs of her patients as a community and as a woman. She puts you at ease from the moment you meet her. The invaluable experience Dr Elizabeth has gained over the years, caring for women in both developing and developed worlds, has enabled her to provide the best possible care for all her patients.
